Neutral gear

    Hey guys, My 83 maxim 750 is getting harder to find neutral gear when engine is running. When not running i can get it into neutral easy. It takes me sometimes several tries. Sometimes it goes on the first try. Is this normal for these or am i looking at some repairs?

    do a search for clutch adjustment, but sometimes it is kind of tricky
    i seem to find it easier to get neutral from second rather than first

    See if your cables' rubbing on your windscreen. I have to give mine a tap once in a while to free it up and then N is np =)

    Just needed to adjust the knob by the lever and all is fine now. I had too much play in the cable.

    I have this problem in almost anything, i believe i lack the finesse

    but i have found it alot easier going from second down to N instead of up from 1st
