Well what your looking at is the result of me having way too much beer laying around and being bored at 3 am. I decided to build another(better) undertail/ fender eliminator(the stock fender is fugly). I think it turned out good, ill paint it later on. Also how hard is it to build a 1 up seat, that may be the next project. And what all do you need?

Hmmm. and would have a sentimental fell lol. You might have some thing there. I do have some thin scrap around the house(cam thing I made the under tail with. I wonder if it would work. Might not be very strong though.

Would you mind posting some pictures of what else you had to re-mount when removing the fender? Or is the license plate the only thing that matters? (I haven't really looked but am considering removing my rear fender.)

Well what I did was just remove the fender, the two screws you see toward the front of the bracket are the ones that hold the fairing on there. But under the metal bracket I have three smaller brackets as shown that hold the GSX-R taillight in place. Also all the screws for it are the back middle and two rear ones. Also in the crease of the main bracket are two little screws going into the taillight housing giving more support., Hope this helps...... 8)

Pretty much you will have the remount some sort of tail light and plate, that is about it. it's not a hard job just takes some fiddling, you will need some kind of sheet metal, some metal snips, and a drill( oh and a marker). Thats all I used. I really like the way it looks without that huge fender on, made it more sporty. I'm just keeping this set-up for a little while. I plan one doing a custom rear cowl with a l.e.d. strip in it.

    Excellent! Thanks for the pictures!

I was thinking of getting rid of the fender and using this taillight anyway:

    or maybe these:

Of course if you want to replace your tail lights there's lots of choices. ;)
