Finally went for a nice long ride... after the past couple days, it was so nice to get on the road and just go. And go I did. Had to try out the new gear, which I have to say I'm incredibly pleased with. It's 91 degrees, feels like 99, and I really didn't sweat at all wearing all of it.

^By the way, my gut isn't really that big... it's the jacket... I swear it!

    And... how cool!

The Helmet is a Scorpion EXO 400... 3x... fits nicely over my big fat head. The jacket and gloves are Joe Rocket, and though the jacket might not be the best thing in a crash, it's better than nothing, and - no sweat. And I sweat like a pig in this humidity. Seriously, I was amazed at how comfortable I was for the 150 miles or so I just rode.

    So nice. So very nice.

as far east as you can get in michigan 43.027407,
ill post about my ride later but i love my exo400. i thought my nolan N37 was great and it probably was when new (back in '93!) BUT this scorp in so nice. its much quieter but i still use ear plugs...

i was given a mesh which is really nice in the hot weather but its a drag putting it on and taking it off and putting it on and taking it off and well you get the idea. its got good back, elbow and shoulder protection so i wore it...

youre Max is very cool. im glad you had a great ride. it was 96F plus here (with the humidity)...

It is very nice. I did a lot of research before committing to anything one way or the other, and for the money, doesn't seem like there is much that beats it. AND it comes in size: "Super extra fat head."

I'm very happy with the Yamaha pasted all over everything, too. Haha. Rockin' it! If my senses were a bit worse than they are, I might have to seek out Harley riders to smoke on the open road :)

For the 6500$ that Max cost... I am amazed every time I get on. I'm certainly not made of money - it's nice to know a fairly new cruiser can be obtained beyond a 650 VStar or something. God bless Yamaha!

Oh, and it's worth mentioning that those gloves would make one heck of an upper hand in a fist fight, haha. Those vents are mighty solid.

Wow, I love the jacket and the bike.

I hear you on the mesh jacket I recently switched from leather to a Nitro mesh very similar to yours. It was near 90 today and I found that it wasn't to bad as long as you were moving the minute I stopped well....
Funny thing is that on the last 15 miles of my ride today I got behind a group of 9 Harleys with their "women" on the back. I kid you not on the bike pulling up the rear the girl had on shorts, a tank top, flip flops and no helmet. A couple of times she turned around and looked at me, she must have thought I was crazy wearing boots, armored jacket, a helmet and gloves?

My Dad is a Harley rider... He was all for the helmet when I told him my concerns. He told me when I started riding that he'd kick my arse if he ever seen me in shorts.

When I was in elementary school (like 2nd grade), he picked me up on the bike - he didn't know I was wearing shorts to school. I threw my leg right on the exhaust getting off. I think that was the last day I ever wore shorts (period). Haha.

It is silly to see just how far people will go... I'm riding my motorcycle naked, aren't I cool.

I seen a couple guys on the interstate riding crotch rockets wearing tanktops and shorts (falling past their crack, I might add). One of them pushed himself up on the tank and sat on the tank kicking his legs (to stretch them out, I assume). I will wave at other motorcycles... that's about the biggest risk I take.
