New guy with an 81 xj650

    Whats up everyone this is my first post here on xjbikes.com
    Just picked up a 1981 xj650 tonight and im in search of an online repair manual. The bike seems to run good. She started to iddle a bit higher as I rode her home. It started at about 1500 rpm and climed up to 2500 by the time I got home 5 miles maybe. After she started to iddle rough first gear was grinding/poping in when I shifted down from neutral. Any ideas what this could be? Any ideas where I can find an online manual for this bike?

    Welcome to the site! Someone here has a cd manuel, sounds like the throttle cable might be binding so check that first. Mine was binding inside the cable cover. Grinding?, maybe someone else will help with that one.
