My first bike was a '01 650cc cruiser, 2nd was '02 ZR 750cc (which is basically same thing as this seca I just bought), 3rd was a '03 FZ1 (my fav by far!), 4th was an '85 Interceptor 750cc. And now my 5th bike... Bought a '94 Seca 600cc with only 6k miles on it for 1500$!

It seems to run fine and has barely been used. Although the previous owners didn't really take care of it, as there's a good amount of erosion on some parts.

I plan to do a ton of fixes/adjustments to it, but no clue where to go/buy from.
I'll just make a list of what I'd like done, and if you know a place/website to get it from, please let me know!

-Windshield Black. I'm also considering taking off the front fairing and make it a true naked bike a le Monster style. I do plan to do some long distance rides though, so I might just keep it on. Is it relatively easy to take off/on? And how/where do I put the speedomoter on the bars?

    -Mirrors. Smaller and narrower

-Handlegrips/ends - would like some blue grips/ends. Maybe these?

-front/rear turn signals - easy enough. Flush mount would be good.

-Tire rim colors - I bought these:

    I also bought this

-O chain. I was thinking of getting this, or maybe I could just paint it myself.

-Seat cover or new seat all together. Saw this. Comes in light blue or dark blue, not sure which would match my bike better.

    also this

Or maybe if I get some extra $,

-Tires - What size tire do seca's usually get and what is the correct air pressure? 36/29?

-Muffler slip ons - Only complaint I have about the bike is its dual mufflers. Makes it damn expensive to upgrade. What's a good muffler, not too loud, but with a deep throaty sound?

-frame sliders - Will any do or do I need a specific type/brand?

-Saddlebags/cargo nets - Any problems with having these? I'm thinking of the muffler touching mainly

-Tank pad - Any good site with nice designs for decent price?

Any engine upgrades I should consider? I don't know much mechanically about bikes. I'm more of a "looks" guy.
Also, what's the best way to remove stickers/decals?

    General questions about the bike:
How is it on long trips? I'll mostly be just doing city commuting on it, but will take the weekend trips when I can.

What type of problems should I look out for that are common in Secas?

That's all I have for now. Thanks for any help/advice!

    -New '94 Seca 600 Owner :)

Nice ride - welcome - most of your questions are matters of opinion and cosmetics.

Priority one should be making sure it is in safe and road worthy condition. Get a good manual and look at our supporting Vendor Chacal - he has most of the parts you need to get her in shape. Once she is road worthy you can customize away and enjoy.
