I'm taking off the stock digital gauge cluster from my XJ1100 and replacing it with a simple speedo and tach.

Can anyone tell me what type I need to get? I don't know if I need a 1:1 or 2:1 ratio or what!

For those that have done this, any advice would be great! Thanks

I searched quite a bit, but didn't find any concrete evidence on what works and what doesn't.

Hopefully someone smart will chime in and clear things up for us.....

Thanks for the reply. Not sure if that helps or not, but I appreciate it anyway.

I need to know what type of speedo/tach will work on my XJ1100 specifically. If anyone knows the ratio or the specs I need to be looking for, I'd appreciate the help!

I found this on the UK XS1100 forum. Bear in mind that the XJ1100 and the XS1100 both use a 19inch front wheel.
Somebody mentions the speedo ratio to be 2.1:1.
    HTH.

If you scroll up the page and read Brians post he says the easy way is to unscrew the cable and count the revolutions as you spin the wheel.
