I assume you mean the manifolds that go between the carbs and engine?

The bolts are known to seize and break easily so you want to be very careful if you decide to continue. There are ways to repair the manifolds if they are not too far gone. Liquid electrical tape is one method, there are several discussions on this you can locate using search.

Before you go forward check if they are leaking. Use an unlit propane torch to "probe" the boots with the engine running. If it revs up you have leaks. If not you don't have any problem.

First off, cracks on the outside do not necessarily go all the way through. Secondly, the screws holding those to the head really like to break off rather than unscrew, so you should be sure you NEED to replace them first. If you DO need to replace them, PM 'chacal' or email him at info @ xj4ever.com (remove the spaces around the @) he has the best price I have found yet.
