New to forum, wanted to say hello and please help me

    Hi to every one on this site. I just recently purchased a xj750 Midnight Maxim and it's almost ready for spring. Perhaps some can point me in the right direction. I cleaned the carbs and the pilot jets are not salvageable. Can some please tell me how I can tell if I have the Hitachi or Mikuni carbs on my bike. It is a 1983 midnight maxim and there are no manufacturer marks on the carb bodies. At least none I can find. The Yamaha dealer gave me a part number of 4h7-14948-40-00 and when I did a google search this part is no longer avaliable. Sudco lists this part number as a Hitachi part. Is this correct? How can I order parts from the vendor with the link at the top of the page?

    you have hitachi thats the only carbs they had as far as i know

    and welcome to the sight. Any parts you need give chacal a shout he is the xj parts guy if he doesn't have it your in trouble

    on the left look in forums the very first forum is xj forever that Chacal you can also pm him to the right of it. Best of luck hope the bike treats you well.
    Any question feel free to post them they will get answered im sure. A lot of good reading here

    take a look thru his catalog you will be amazed. If he dos not have it he can tell you where to get it. He will have the jets no problem
