Well I finally got my hands on a bike and I am so excited to bob this thing. I have messed with cars and I set an XR 600R up for street legality but never messed with an XJ.. I will probably be asking for help soon as I have already found issues with my carbs. Whoever had the bike before made homemade intakes and homemade intake tubes running from the carbs to the intakes. They were made of radiator hose. Sheesh, other then that issue it looks like I have some cosmetics to mess with and thats about it. If anyone has any ideas as to were I could get my hands on some used intakes that would be great. I got into the carbs to see what issues I maight have to adress and noticed that one of the floats was stuck. I checked it and found that the float pin was bent all to crap, so if anyone might have an extra one of those lying around I would take it. I look forward to being a part of this forum and I will post pics soon of my build as it begins.

Welcome from NC! Please put your bike info in your signature so members can specifically address what model you have. You can get a float pin from Chacal (just pm him or go to the top right banner on the site for xj4ever) and he'll hook you up. Just ordered a pin myself, was delivered very quickly and a reasonable price. Have fun and we love pics :)

Welcome aboard. The folks above are pretty dead on when they say message Chacal. I'm a new owner as of last year and he's gotten everything I needed to me right quick and at decent prices.
