    Just wanted to say hi.
    I just purchased a 1985 yamaha maxim 750 (canadian)
    2nd gear skips i seen the post, but was wondering where i could
    get a new 2nd gear if i need one.

    Flea-Bay is your best (cheapest) bet. You can hit up a yard but they tend to be pricy. Another means of getting around it all is to score a beater off of Craig's list and strip it down. Welcome to the fold, now roll up your sleeves and get ready to get dirty.
