First welcome to the forums. You'll really enjoy doing this with your son and the time your going to spend together. I'm 25 and my dad and I have been doing a bike together as well, and it's probably the first time in our lives we've done something together of any real magnitude and its really brought us much closer. Next you can check ebay for parts, or are XJ marketplace on the forums page. if you cant find them there are residents parts man is CHACAL, he can be found on the top of any page where you see the xj4ever picture and the header, just click it.

Chacal has just added a thread called "information overload" which is a collection of posts relating to just about all of the common XJ issues. You'll find it in the "XJ4Ever-Supporting Vendor" forum index as well.

Your first investment needs to be a service manual.
