hey y'all i've been lurking around for awhile checking out the forums and it seems like there are lots of knowledgable folk here. i've purchased an '83 seca xj750 recently, still waiting to take delivery, guys looking for the title. anyway, i've been messing with bikes for a few years mostly 2 cyl jap bikes, i've stretched a few out done a hardtail, etc. my last 2 bikes were too nice to chop so i'm calming down, giving the grinder and welder a break and learn more about the mechanical workings of these gems, and i've decided to take on the challenge of a 4 cyl, it's all new to me, so i'm sure i'll be posting my share of "stupid" noob questions soon. the bike i'm getting runs great and looks pretty good too, PO seems to have taken real good care of it , but until i get into the shop for some more extensive checking i won't know... anything in particular that i should be aware of as far as problems with this type of bike?? i'm not afraid to dig into these bikes as long as i know there are people that will help me get it back together, thnx in advance njr1

You done good. I read somewhere about a guy getting 200k+ with general maintenance only. some cars can't last that many miles. Like many now if you mod the induction or exhaust it's re-jet time. That's the only thing I've read complaints about.
