    Hi everybody. I am Johnny... a newbie. Well, here anyway! I am about to take possession of an '82 XJ650 Maxim. From what I have seen here, it'll be a keeper.

    I have been riding for about 40 years now, and love the older bikes, and wrenching on them. I am sure I'll be asking a lot of questions about the "new 650.

    Hello and welcome to the forum, Im a newbee here too but not new to bikes, lots of info here on XJ, I just picked up a 550 Maxim myself and lookin forward to mod it.
