according to the wiring diagram they lead to the switch assembly on the solid blue wire. when connected there they have no issue. is it possible the signal relay isnt working right

Sounds like a switch issue or a short in the wiring. There are NO rear running lights on these bikes if you have amber lenses. It's illegal to have amber running lights/brake lights in the rear. If you have three wires going to the front signals, then you have front running lights. You may want to check the kill switch contacts also. I had no signal lights yesterday untill I switched the kill switch off and on, so there may be an issue witht he contacts there?

There are no rear yellow running lights on our bikes, it is illegal in some areas (this is second-hand knowledge, anyone with greater experience please chime in).

ya know now that ya'll both both said it i think you're right i think it is illegal to have them .... well then it has to be the accidental fix then. I'll have to ping SLKid about his.

i though it was strange.... i am betting it was fixed by one of my standard practices which is to clean every contact you touch or have access to and to apply lithium greage to each contact to prevent corrosion and get a better contact. thats the only thing that it could have been.
