    Hi all, I just got a 1983 900 that doesn't start, yet. The guy I bought it from said it has no spark. I bought a used ignitor box from ebay. In the few days it took to get here I began reading on here I found that the side stand switch thing was keeping it from firing. I removed the relay and gave it a shot of starting fluid and it fired. I am now in the process of getting the carbs working properly. Thanks for the wealth of info made available by all you awesome people.

    Good thing for you that the P.O. didn't come here first, the bike would have probably cost you more seeing as it would have been running. :roll:
