    It was all about the "shock" value of six cylinders.
    And some even had an altimeter !! Really !!
    But in that era, modified GS 1100's were wiping the floor with all the wannabees.

    They had problems keeping the number 3 and 4 cylinders cool on those, so they frequently dropped valves.

    Anyone seen the videos for the new VMax? I'm a bit thrown by all the Yamaha "chip controlled" stuff, but god would I like to ride it.
