O-Rings on Intake Ports of Carbs?

    I was reading something yesterday that made me wonder if there are supposed to be o-rings in the grooves on the intake ports of the carbs? I recently bought my bike, and there were no o-rings on them. They are pretty snug to get on and off, but I've not had the trouble that some people seem to have getting them on and off. They are clamped on pretty tight, though.

    Anyway, do I need to go find some o-rings?

    nope, no o-rings there... when you clamp the boots on, the grooves just give them something to grab.
