    Just a quick question.

My odometer jammed yesterday. The trip meter and speedometer still work fine its just the odometer.

    Any suggestions?

    Pray?
Seriously, the gears on these things are plastic and they do break and strip out. Time to source a new unit unless you gots lots o' money to plunk down for a speedo shop to fix it.

Forget that I'll do it myself. No sense wasting that kind of money.

Be advised, they are a device of pure mechanical frustration. I've broken two in my efforts to unlock them.

My odometers tend to stop working from time to time when the grease dries out. The most common problem is when they will start turning additional digits like when it should advance from 099 to 100 but jumps to 300 instead. To fix it I take the mechanism apart and spray it with WD-40 to loosen it up then it's OK for another few years.
