My streettracker Maxim 400 that I just sold a couple months ago is for sale already after being tainted by the new owner... Just look at those HORRIBLE cheap rediculous stickers he slapped all over it. And what does he mean WINDSHIELD?!? Would you put a windshield on THAT? Oh well, I made mine....still makes me sick though.

From the looks of picture #2 it looks like your 400 is lucky! It appears a different bike didn't make it, fell down and died!

DW whaddaya expect from a guy who spells it "motercycle?"

I sold my absolutely perfect well kept 1980 SR500 to this absolute jackass who had it looking like a pure POS in about 3 months. Made me sick every time I saw it, I know exactly how you feel.

The real lesson here is to NEVER SELL A PERFECTLY GOOD BIKE THAT YOU LOVE. Wives come and go, a good motorcycle lasts a lifetime.

seat pan is by Jack Warren at First Klass Glass...look him up. He makes seats for STORZ performance and damn near every flattrack racer in the USA. He lives about a half hour from me. He is over 60YO and still races Vintage AHRMA!!!

I've always said to myself that I wouldn't sell a bike to someone I a. didn't like, or b. didn't think would care for the bike. I haven't come up on it yet, thankfully.

I said "come and go." My Norton outlasted four (yes, don't go there) four wives. They left ME (damn if I know.) I ended up raising two of the five total kids myself, and I'm still working on it (ages 14 and 17.) I wash the clothes and cook the food.
BUT... I can wash brake parts in the bathtub and boil valve covers on the stove and nobody gets upset. (Except maybe my daughter and she can deal with it.)

I sold my honda CX500 last yr to my ex-girlfriend's brother. I just found out the other day that he was burning leaves and threw a tarp over the bike. Well he caught the trap on fire. Then the trap caught the bike on fire. It burnt to the ground.

I had the same reaction when I read "MOTERCYCLE" Dwcopple, I feel your pain, but at the same time, did he do anything that couldn't be undone?

On this I have to disagree. Had mine for 20 years and wouldn't trade her in [insert your favorite hot babe's name here]. Motorcycles wear out if you use them ... ' course that's what they are made for ... <grin>
