    Found this on CL...I do almost exclusively maxim-x's, BUT, I don't have that neat little shiny thing on the back behind the backrest...I've already made arrangements to buy this bike.

    Guess what the first thing I am doing to it is? Yep, I'm snagging that luggage rack and it's going on my x!!

    After that, I'll get the bike going as it really doesn't look like it's in bad shape. This is only the second owner and the engine actually shows shine from the factory...12k, miles on it. After she gets going, she's going back up for sale as I really only wanted the luggage carrier

    Nice find, did you get a title with it. Hope it did not set you back to much. I just sold my X, I think I would rather have a air cooled X like yours.

    This bike cost me a bit more than I wanted to pay $100, but honestly, after it is cleaned up and all, I'll make money on it, I'm sure.

    Nice find for sure. I just found a Suzuki VZ800 Marauder with 22,000 on it. Its a V-twin, I think and I don't know the first thing about those. But the guy wants $1,200 o.b.o. and I have $1,000 cash to present him with. I think it's a '95. How much are you selling that Maxim for once you get the thing up and going?

    I got the bike for 700 total, sight unseen, but like I said, I really wanted that rack. I'll sell the backrest too.

    Yep, 700, a bit more than I wanted to pay, buuutt.

    The chrome air box covers provided they are mint are going on my x. I've got three maxim x's to pick up in southern va in about three weeks time too...I KNOW I'll have spare parts there.
