I have the 1983 XJ750MK and I bought an oil cooler off of a xj900RK I want to install it but first I wanted to know if anyone who has already installed theres on their Maxim could post some pics of it I want some ideas on how to mount it. I know I'm probably going to have to make a custom mounting bracket but I'd just like to see some ideas and see what other people have done.

    thanks

i have an '81 xj 750 seca. here are my pics of my oil cooler i took when i needed help with oil leaking. hope they help. btw the oil cooler seems extremly hard to get too with the standard exaust. its tucked in there real good. i imagine you may have to take off the exaust to install it. but im not totally sure. just my 2 cents.

Here's the Derale that came with my 750:

It's mounted with 2 brackets, 3.5"x0.75", each with one end on the crossmember of the frame, the other on the top of the oil cooler.

    Hope that helps...
