Hi everyone been using different oil filters each time I change my oil. I've used wix k&n fram act. Does anybody know which one seems to work the best for their bike. Right now I like fram because it comes with new gaskets.

The best oil filter is a new one. End of story.
All the major brands will filter the oil to the necessary degree and then some.

You need both the washer and spring. Check xj4ever at top right of screen. Len probably has the parts.

OH it'll sit there all right, but without those parts it won't filter any oil.

I'm guessing without spring the filter isnt doing much...oil probably blowing past it.

I'm old enough if when removing an oil filter, I don't note the order of washer, spring and which side of the oil filter goes on first, I have to look at the illustration when I install the new oil filter. What does that say about my memory???
