    It's got right hand threads.

You want to use a 6 point socket on it (especially if it's stock with the small head). Round that thing off and you'll spend a day digging it out.

As just said, ... the 6-Point Socket is a MUST.

If the Oil Filter Bolt need persuasion, ... try this.

Seat a 6 Point 1/2" Drive Socket on the Hex Threads
    Insert a 6" Extension
    Insert a Breaker Bar.

Get everything "Lined-up" nice and YOU hold the Tools on the Bolt Head adding some strong Undo Torque to the arrangement of Tools.

When you have the Tools aligned and Torque applied, ...
Have an assistant give the End of the Breaker Bar a Sharp, Heavy, Impact-blow with a Hardwood Hammer Handle.

Repeat as necessary until the Bolt "Breaks loose."

The idea is to have the force of the Blow applied to the Bolt.
Heavy Undo-torque on the Tools will then apply the energy of the Impact to the Handle of the Breaker bar to the Oil Filter Bolt.
