Wow, It's been a while since I perused this site!
I have a small oil leak in the vicinity of my stator cover on my '81 XJ750RH
I thought it was the rotor shaft seal when I bough the bike last May but I replaced the seal and O-ring when I put a new stator on last year.. Still leaking! It's not enough the loose any real appreciable amount between oil changes but it makes an ugly stain on my precious!
Has any one else seen this?
Could it possibly be coming through the stator cover mounting screws where they thread into the case?

    Warm it up.
    Bring it in.
Park it on the Center Stand over Newspaper.
Blow-on a little bit of Baby Powder on the places you suspect are leaking.

Look for the drip on the paper.
Lok for a trail in the Powder.

That's an excellent suggestion! I still haven't found my annoying oil leak, and now I am not so sure it is coming from the neutral safety switch. This should help out a lot.

    Thanks, Rick.
