    Hello All,

Is it normal for the oil level to drop when the engine is running?

The level is just right when not running. then- when running, the level drops to below the sight glass.

    Thanks

Sure, the pump picks up some and forces it through the filter and the engine for lubrication.

I've had great success ignoring the two marks on the sight glass and adding the additional 3 or 4 ounces of oil to JUST fill the sight glass until the "Bubble" disappears.

Real easy to check the oil before heading out. Look at the sight glass ... if it's all dark ...

    RIDE!

I check my oil level after the bike has been setting for a couple hours or more so i know the oil has draind down to the bottom of the engine. and i keep it topped off so i can always see it is almost always to the top of the window.
