ok got a problem with coils

    I have an 81 650 that was given to me and you can tell that it was not stored correctly by the amount of degredation. This bike has you know, rust, cracking wires, busted harnesses and the like ,well i got it running and i noticed that when i touched a spark plug wire and the handlebar at the same time i was hit with a weak shock took the coils of and found that there was a monster split down the center of one of the coils but it still produced a spark not sure what the spark plug fire should look like so i dont know if its weak or not also in another post on i here when i rev the engine it stalls at about two and a have rpms but if i keep turning the throttle it push through and rev real high is this the coils fault

    Liquid Electrical Tape.

    Fill the crack and let dry.
    Please report the results -- which I strongly suspect will be favorable: ASAP
