Why does XJ4EVER have to have....SO MUCH STUFF !!!
I'm going to be spending a lot on this bike...it is nice to be able to make a 34 year old bike...look new again.

These stickers are going to look nice:

Oddly my clutch side stickers are pretty good.

Your clutch side stickers aren't. All the switchgear lettering was screen-printed on. The throttle side tends to get worn off first, especially if the owner only rides during the daytime and doesn't signal their turns.

all XJ550 and all XJ650 (except Turbo) used actual stickers on both control switches (makes them easy to restore!).

Correct for all other XJ models except those mentioned above!

I would think that parking one side in the sun would deteriorate that side faster too

Along with some other parts to check my valve adjustments, I got the ignition sticker from Chacal. The backing was a little tricky to peel off, until I used a razor blade to get started.

Looks great. Before and after pictures:

Nice! I can't tell you how jealous I am of your tach, been looking for 6 months for a clean one.

Tach works but starting to make a bit of "scratchy" sound. Probably another project this summer to take apart and lubricate. Last summer I replaced the tach cable seals at the motor block and lubed the cable itself.
