I have a 1981 XJ550RH and its has been sitting in the rain for a few years; it appears that the right side was more exposed to the rain; I rebuilt the crabs according to the 'Church of Clean' and take a peak underneath the canshaft cover. I noticed that the left side cam lobes have oil on them, the oil level is filled to specs, and the right side cam lobes are dry.
How can I determine why the right side doesn't get any oil/lubrication to the cam shaft?
Why would only one side get lubrication and the other doesn't?

    Thx, Robert

If you're parking it on the sidestand the oil is running to the left side.

Try parking it on the centerstand (after running it) for a while then check.
