    hey guys hows it goin my name is cody. Ive been into dirt bikes and quads for a long time I just recently picked up my first bike its an 81 XV 750 . I know I know its not an xj haha the other forum I was going to wasnt really into my style of build . Im building a hard tail bare bones bobber . I hope to soak up the knowledge like an old kitchen spongue .

    Welcome to the forum JimmyK. Don't let Schooter whiz in your Cheerios about the starting issue. The Viragos have a bit of a rep for having starter issues. Just park it, every time, with the front wheel pointed down hill and you'll be fine.

    I once had a Virago 750 and loved it. External oil lines, Vtwin torque, external oil lines, buckets of get up and go and external oil lines. Only problem was the thimble sized gas tank. At 95 miles you needed to dive into a gas station.

    haha its so true about the starter. I flipped the idler gear ( think thats the name) and that solved the grinding for now haha hopefully ill be onto something else by the time I have to deal with that again . Thanks for the welcome fellas ive already found way more info here
