paint & custom decals - what order?

    My cousin owns a sign shop. So I had him whip me up some custom decals for my Seca.
    My question is, after I paint the bike should the decals go on before the clear coat? Or the last layer of clear coat?

    I'll post pics of them after I recover from this strange exotic Canadian disease I contracted.

    To do it 100% right, the clear coat should go OVER the decals, and be built up/sanded down until it hides that fact that they're decals. (Eliminating the "ridge.")
