painting chrome?

    My chrome is not so great, more than a few bad places. I really dont care much for chrome anyway so I want to paint it. yes I tried a test piece with just regular auto primer .. and no that does NOT work, you can scratch it right off. I was researching on other primers-- epoxy (there is a spray can that mixes as you spray) or self etching primer. anybody know anything about either one of these, or any ideas

    You might want to sand the chrome down to the bare metal, clean it all up with denatured alcohol, and then once it's all wiped up and clean...primer the hell out of it and begin painting.
