Parts interchangeable?

    Hey all, long time no see =) Have a quick question for you, as if the answer is favorable I will probably be seeing you guys a lot more again :lol: .I am looking at getting another maxim due to a falling out that my dad and I had. I am unable to get the title for the one that I have been working on with my son but have an entire braking system, exhaust, new wheels, handlebars, and battery for an 84 maxim 750. I just found an 83 on CL for a decent price and was wondering if the parts that are on the 84 would also be interchangeable to an 83. Any advice is greatly appreciated =)

    Check the VIN and serial numbers, build date is on the headstock, betcha anything your '84 was built in '83.

    Start with the parts fiche: I like this one; the diagrams are bigger than the Yamaha "official" site and they're right here in Michigan...
