My parts from Len arrived today and I was able to clean and rebuild my petcock this evening. I followed BigFitz's tutorial and there is no leaking. It's a small victory but I'm feeling pretty good about it. :D

Agreed, series of small victories feels great!
Personally I would not have a 33 year old bike that runs as well as it does without the fountain of knowledge that spews from this website. Not to mention the pleasure of having a parts guy that provides the best customer service EVER.

This community is filled with folks who have "been there, done that" and also are eager to offer assistance - priceless! :D

With that in mind I encourage members to do THIS.

In fact it may be wise to make that link a 'sticky'.

    Keep it rubber side down.
