    Hi guys
After this mornings ride Bike was spluttering at take take off. I noticed the petrol smell and then seen petrol flowing out the overflow pipe of the outside carb. Bike seems fine at riding speed but at idle its not good .So i guess this is just a float stuck or anyone any other thoughts on it . Ive no manual yet so I'm asking .

So should i pull bottom off carb and ?

Sounds like you have a float hanging up ...which is usually caused by the needle sticking usually the rubber tip takes a groove , ethonal does not help . I myself switched to solid brass tip. You will have to pull carbs to remove float bowls , when was last time carbs were taken to church ? sounds like time to get religious with them.

If you determine that it's leaking when the bike is not running, you have a potential petcock issue as well. Even in the ON position, it should not be allowing fuel to pass when the bike is not running.

If it's leaking when the bike is not running the you have a DEFINITE petcock issue.

If you are leaking/spraying gas when you are running, you have an overflowing issue.---stuck float

If you have either condition, then you PROBABLY have a crank case full of gas, too. Open the oil fill cap and take a whiff. Smell like gas? Time to Address the petcock, the carbs, AND drain/replace the gas-diluted oil and filter.

Thanks folks , while the engine was running and leaking I tapped the side of the leaking carb with a wooden mallet and it stopped leaking ,engine returned to correct idle . Did this a few times and I believe I need to remove float bowl cover and clean out floats and valve .
Cheers for the info . No issues otherwise . great bike ,love it
