    Hey,

Could anyone take a photo of the rear brake caliper and how it mounts on an XJ1100? I am putting mine back together after being apart for 6 months and it doesn't look quite right.

Also does anyone know the torque for the mounting bolt on the rear caliper?

    Thanks

    -Steve

I don't have an 1100 to snap a pic of, ... But here's the page from the Yamaha Web Site:

Not a great pic and before restoration began, but you get the idea. Hope it helps.

    Thanks for the pics guys.

I 've been away for the holidays for a few days but am back at the bike now.

It looks like I have everything on correctly but I think that I may be missing a spacer or something between the caliper and the mounting bracket.

I know that the caliper is supose to have the ability to swivel on the bolt but shouldn't there be some sort of spacer between the caliper body and the mounting bracket?

Right now there is about a 1/2" gap between the two and the next hard part to hit the caliper mounting body will be the brake pads themselves.

Wish I could post a pic here to show you what I mean. Can't seem to get the pictures to post here from photobucket for some reason.
