Anybody have a carb picture showing the pilot screw plug that needs to be removed for adjustment. I don't want to remove the wrong thing. It appears to be on the front side of the carb, on top. About a quarter inch diameter brass. I found threads about adjusting these, and ricks thread about adjusting, but no picture id as to where they are for sure.

You have found them. Be sure to use a screw driver that fits well into the slot, they are easy to damage.

Just to make sure i looked again. These brass plugs are located right beside the enrichment valves for choking. Correct?

    yep.

Can you see the screw or do they still have the factory caps on? (if you can see the brass screw with a slot in it then the caps have been removed, and you're good 2 go)

Drilled a hole carefully through one cap. Put a screw in it, but it is tight. I am a little afraid of putting much pressure on it. How much should it take to get it out? I locked a vice grip on the screw, and am thinking about using a pry bar for leverage.

I grab the screw with a pair of pliers and rock it as I pull. That usually works.

If you can't get it out that way I recommend incrementally drilling your hole larger. Eventually you'll work your way up to a drill that cuts away part of the edge of the plug. Then you just have a brass crescent to dig out. You need to be very careful not to drill into the mixture screw.
