Every now and then I visit Craigslist to see what bikes are out there and how much they are going for and one of the #1 reasons for selling a bike is I bought a bigger bike, and #2 is I don't have time to ride? For the life of me I do not understand how someone can buy a Bike and not have time to ride? I ride mine to work, to the store, for wind therapy, Please help me understand how a person can use the excuse " I don't have time to ride"

Kids, work, family, all take priority and for some of us have too many hobbies .
2 different beer leagues. Grandson not old enough to take him on the bike yet.
Wife has a bad disc so she won't go with anymore.
When I was much younger I rode year round 1 car and 1 bike, wife and kids take the car and I get to ride to work.
Probably about 300,000 kilometres on hundreds of bikes( stopped counting after 200). Being in the mc industry had it perks

For some, it is a nice to have item that quickly gets lower on the priority list. I enjoy riding to work, but don't ride much other than that. I would miss it if I sold my XJ, but it wouldn't be a huge loss. Perhaps next year, when I expect to have more free time, I will find myself more connected to it. I really enjoy working on the bike as well, which I will hopefully do more next year too.

Economic pressure is another reason. Income decreases, adjustments get made, sometimes it's a permanent change.

Yea and for some "got bigger bike " = I started "working on bike" I'm in over my head or there is a problem inside engine so they sell it on to someone else. Always take with a grain of salt what the P.O. tells you unless it is someone you know.
