    Heres a good one:

pluggin in my clutch switch causes my neutral light to stay on . with it unplugged, neutral light works properly.

The bike will only start in neutral.

I dont believe it will start in gear with the clutch switch plugged in and the clutch depressed.

I guess i need to check if the clutch switch is working properly but if it were shorted out, wouldnt it just make the bike think the clutch is always depressed, allowing starting in gear?

    Any ideass?
    Thanks

Which bike? Put it in your signature
Most XJs have a diode block in the saftey circuit, when it fails the neutral light does strtange things.
