The bike was given to me by a good friend who's dad had previously owned it and has been a project of mine since. It sat in their back yard for 12 yrs. and I picked it up in '04 and didn't get started on it until '05. After cleaning the tank and the carbs, changed the oil and it fired right up...damn tough bikes I think. Over the years I had it, most of what I done is nothing more than cosmetic. The clutch and new brake pads and carb parts are all I've replaced new so far (oh yeah....tires too).

Thank you very much...All I've been using is a Makita buffer in a vice with a semi-loose buffing wheel and Wenol polish (tight budget)....right after I've sanded my fingers off with various grits, finishing with 800.

Makita buffer, loose buffing wheel, wenol? I do believe you are speaking french :)

All I have is a tub of mothers polish, a no-scratch SOS pad and a few terry towels lol.
I haven't even attempted yet, waiting till it runs good! (carbs next... ugh!)
