Hello all. Haven't been on for a while. Had and still having problems with my phone line and internet connection. I now have a wireless internet.

The XJ900 is road registered and I have put about 450km on it. Still tuning the idle mixtures and reading the plugs. The weather people said the last day it was below 20 celcius in Melbourne was Dec 8 last year, so the weather has been great for riding.

I puchased aftermarket fork oil seals and brake pads elsewhere before I joined this site. The fork dust boots have started cracking already, and the seals show signs of leaking. The front brake pads are shuddering and not gripping the whole brake disc area. No leaks in the calipers after overhaul - just not very good quality brake pads. I have been riding on mainly very twisty roads, so they should have bedded in by now.

Can you get EBC pads in your neck of the woods? They have a good reputation. I think my bike has cheapie pads at the moment as I have the same poblem as you. Discs seem ok.
