possible to replace valve seals with motor in frame?

    just like i said is it possible to replace the valve seals with the motor in the frame?

    Yes, but not easily. There is some unconvential methods needed to hold valves in place and remove springs. Once you remove everything to access the valve springs you are only a few bolts away from removing the head and doing it properly anyway. I recommend removing the head.

    The answer to your question is yes.

    It's not necessary to remove the motor from the frame to pull the head; so yes. But you will need to remove the cylinder head.

    If you are going to remove the Head to do Valve Seals, ... consider:
    • De-coking
    • Cleaning Valve Stems
    • Cleaning-out the Exhaust Port Passage
    • Valve Job or Lapping Valves
    • Cleaning and Polishing the Combustion Chambers.

    well i really didnt plan on pulling the head until the winter.. i just had a valve guide starting to leak and was going to replace it if it was easy to do..but to pull the head whe i plan on rebuilding the motor over the winter seems like a waste at this point and ill just add oil once in a while
