They musta made an awful lotta '82 XJ750s...seems to be the most common one here.

To have such abundance of a 30+ year old Japanese bike seems like they must have sold an extraordinary number of them here....

just a funny observation...for a while I kept seeing early 70's Honda CB750As (automatic) for sale on craigslist...seemed strange to me as they were not at all popular at the time, and made in limited numbers...why so many always for sale?

Then I slowly realized it was the same two units getting pawned off on new unsuspecting buyers...

What happens is that the guys tha have kept their automatics are beginning to realize that some brand new riders will be fooled into thinking that the auto is just a automatic version of the standard bike, not realizing tha they took a big hit in performance. Comparitively, they are also cheap as opposed to buying a brand new bike so the market price for the autos has doubled in the past 5 years...the 400 hawk auto used to get 600 in good shape, now gets nearly 1200 and the 750a is now getting upwards of 2200....of course there are still lots of deals.....you just have to look harder.
