When I hook up my cigarette lighter what size fuse should I use? I know cars typically use 20amp fuses. I just wanted to double check before I installed it.

I believe the 550 has a 20amp main fuse, so you won't want to go that high with an accessory fuse.

If you are just using it to power a phone charger, etc. you can go with a 5amp.

    I wouldn't go higher than 10.

Thanks for the advice man I'll try a 5 amp first, because it is just to charge my phone anyway
