I have had these carbs off, cleaned, and re-installed them. What a bear compared to my XS1100, and my old XS650. Is there some secret to getting a little more room to do this. I know on my XS1100, i loosen up my airbox, and remove the bottom. I have to take them off again, as i forgot to put a clamp on the fuel hose, and can't see how i am going to get it on any other way. :(

theres 3 bolts in the air box. two near the cross bar under the tank and one under the tool kit in the tray. the air box should slide back about an eighth of an inch (roughly). I rotate the carbs up/forward then wiggle out.
