Hey everyone, Im thinking about putting a master cylinder from a Yamaha R1 or R6 on my 82 Maxim 650 To give it a more modern/ cleaner look and I was just wondering if anyone knows what lines to get so that it will fit with everything. I have seen other XJs with this type of conversion before but Im not sure if the regular replacement stainless steel lines will fit. Thanks!

Pretty much the same brake lines would work. I think it's a good idea to test fit the r6 master cylinder with the original brake lines before you order stainless replacements....

The maxim banjo is on the same (inside) as the r6. on the seca, it's 90 degrees off so custom lines are needed.

The best thing you can do is put as little stress on the lines themselves by using correct lengths and banjo fitting angles.
