I'd like to replace the behind the headlight master on my Seca 750 with something more accessible and compatible with changing bars if I wanted to.
anyone tried fitting an R6 master cylinder to the bars? I'm looking for parts and I've seen the FJ fitment, I like but I seem to run across a lot of R-series parts on the cheap. It's as if guys with FJs got their crashing out of their system long ago.

can I get it to fit well on the bars? what about the stroke characteristics of the master trying to operate these old brakes?

you dont want a silly mc that is on an angle on flat bars... but they should have the stopping power for these bikes, zookie400 praises ltz400 mc's, they're like 30 bucks

It's mostly the new plumbing I'm after. Mine sat under a tarp for too many years before I got it and all the mounting bolts and fittings are rusted SOLID. The master wasn't assembled correctly, I bought a rebuild kit before investigating and ended up just doing a poor man's rebuild and keeping the kit for later. Did it with it still on the bike. I tried all kinds of PB blaster and as much heat as I dared that close to the electricals. Working in there behind the light got me really fed up with the cable op remote master setup. That and the brake fluid I always spill on my fender. I'm also not super stoked about my atari and all the connectors inside the large and spendy two piece headlight bucket. My connectors are mostly cracked and falling apart. I'd like to clean it up but need some interim parts. It sounds odd but it would be easier for me to swap and swap back than to just re-do it.

I very much don't care what it ends up looking like so long as it handles good and rides somewhat comfy. I ran into a guy parting an r6 asking $200 for the whole font end, tire to trees. Was thinking I'd take him up on it, use what I want, play with stuff I might want and resell what I don't. Keeping my stock parts for eventual resell of course.

My main question lay in whether or not the cylinder made to run (i assume) dual piston calipers will be ok on my calipers and the more I think about it, it should be fine. one of those instances where too much is ok, I just have to be lighter on the trigger.
