    i would like to ad some rake to my frame
    are there services online that you can send your frame to?
    the local shop told me to get lost an buy a harley

    There are a number of threads on rake and the importance of maintaining your trail...please search for them in our forums to find out what you need to be aware of. I too was told not to chop a Maxim-X and to buy a Harley, but didn't listen to that advice. There are alternatives to cutting your frame which will give you more rake and leave your trail exactly as Yamaha designed it, but they are not cheap...neither is my life, so I went the safe route in modifying my ride.
