I actually got the battery out of the well house and put it back in my bike.

Took a little persuasion and a bit of choke (ok enrichment valve) but she fired right up, idled a bit rough at 1st but then smoothed right out.

weather was soooo nice I had to ride er around the block a couple of times.

    Man I hate winter!!!

    COME ON SPRING!!!!

Why do you take the battery out of your bike?

where I live gets below 0F and I've found that when it just sits in that kind of extreme cold it tends to kill one in about 2 yrs.
I've had some m/c batterys last as long as 6 yrs by doing this.

I pulled the battery maintainer off mine today and rode about four miles. Of course I had to use the snowblower to make a path from the barn to the driveway. 4" show with crust on top = no go.

    Can't wait for warm weather!

I might also point out that extreme heat like inside an engine compartment in the Phoenix summer heat 120 deg F + or - a couple of degrees will kill a battery pretty quick too.

I pull my batteries too, Unless you run your bike frequently witch is the best for them, I pull the battery and park it for the winter, that way the battery doesn't freeze, I put the charger on it once a month seems to work pretty good for me
