Is that normal I have to re-synch? I synched my carbs last fall and haven't ridden the bike for more than 1200 km and the idle is a bit lump-lump these days.

Chances are if you have let bike sit for an extended amount of time the wonderful fuel they sell now turns to jelly...putting stabil in tank helps. Before doing anything else put in some Seafoam and fresh fuel see if this improves running ..take it for a few high speed blasts..exrecise the choke a little too it Might improve.

You can try a "hot shot" run tank low ie to reserve put in half a bottle and run the snot out of it. Then fill tank and see if it improves one other thing you could dump a 8oz of acetone in tank and run it thru ....I worked with a guy he drove 65 miles round trip he did this in his truck and bike he swore his mileage increased:rolleyes:...well his truck had 157k and his bike 35k so guess it did not kill them.

And the answer to the first question is, yes. You will have to resynch, but only every year or three depending on mileage.

Do you mean 8 oz of acetone in a full tank? I have acetone too, I guess.

I like SeaFoam but have had even better results with Mercury Quickleen. Harder to find than Seafoam, but really cleans things up.

However, the Mercury product is not a gas stabilizer, so don't use if for storage.

Seafoam isn't that great for storage either.
