Does anyone have a line on rear brake shoes for an XJ650J maxim.
I've checked bike bandit, partnmore, old bike barn. they either don't list rear shoes or they list rear pads, which mine does not have.
Just trying to find something cheaper before going to dealer. :(

I have EBC shoes in mine. Bought from the local Yamaha dealer. Can't remember the price, but not too expensive.

I bought rear "pads" from oldbikebarn.com and they are in fact shoes. The defalt name seems to be pads. If you order the pads i am sure you will get what you need for the rear drum brake.

80-83 Maxim's were all the same. 650 at least for sure.

Pads/Shoes are still available through dealer channels - they're cheap - pretty sure I paid $50 for my shoes, so nothing that should break the bank....

I'd say Dennis Kirk, or Power Parts Plus, if I had the choice, I'd go with kirk, shipping is quick and prices arent to bad
